LED Unserviceable Area Light.

Complies with ICAO Annex 14, Volume 1, Paragraph 7 as unserviceable area light.

Annex 14, para 7.4.1. :
Unserviceable markers shall be displayed wherever any portion of a taxiway, apron or holding bay is unfit for the movement of aircraft but it is still possible for aircraft to bypass the area safely.
On a movement area used at night, unserviceable lights shall be used.

Annex 14, para 7.4.4. :
An unserviceable light shall consist of a red fixed light. The light shall have an intensity sufficient to ensure conspicuity considering the intensity of the adjacent lights and the general level of illumination against which it would be normally viewed.
In no case shall the intensity be less than 10Cd of red light.

BARIKADA has been developed specifically to enable airport authorities to comply with this ICAO requirement.
Also complies with FAA AC150/5370-2E in steady burning or flashing mode.

BARIKADA is the result of the latest development based on high performance LED combined with optimized optics.
Its emits an omnidirectional bright beam of red light throughout a wide vertical angle enabling outstanding visibility, even in twilight conditions, on long and short distances by both aircraft pilots and ground vehicle drivers.
It is very compact and lightweight, and integrates a photocell that automatically switches On at dusk and Off at dawn. It can be operated as a fixed or flashing light by means of a magnetic switch.
BARIKADA can be used as a stand alone light with a dedicated battery or connected in chain with other lights supplied by a larger battery. Fixed and flashing lights can be mixed in a chain.
A small 12V 10Ah battery is enough to power a BARIKADA light 16 hours a day during one week in fixed mode and one month in flashing mode.
